Biography

Ed Handelman is a San Francisco Painter and resides in North Beath in San Francisco, California.

"In 1956 I was in school at the California School of Fine Arts (SFAI) studying painting and realized I could be going to school in Italy. After dropping out of the San Francsico Art Institute I used the GI Bill to study at the University of Florence from 1957-1959. I've always found it hard to make statements about my art. It implies that there is some kind of philosophy behind my work; I just like painting." — Ed Handelman.

The San Francisco Society of Fine Art

The San Francisco Society Of Fine Art, was started in the 1980's by Karin Diesner, and has evolved through the years of fine, independent professional artists. They display their art on public venues which gives them the opportunity to share their works with the tourists and members of the community and to interact with them.
